Cabi: Last Call for Fall Favorites

The Heritage Coat

The Heritage coat is a staple piece. I love how you can dress it up or down. In this look, I wore it over an all black bodysuit with boots and I got tons of compliments. The Adorn Pullover can take you from PTA meetings to the boardroom with it’s chic details. I personally love black on black so that’s what I went for here. I also can’t wait to try mixing prints. Honestly you can wear this top with anything and look fabulous.

Sporty Chic

Another set that was in heavy rotation this fall is the Training jacket and matching joggers. I think I literally wore this like every other week. It was perfect for dropping the kids off to school and running errands. I also wore it to Disney World and it was super comfy. The best part about cabi clothing is that the fabrics wash well. Please be sure to read the labels on how to care for your items.

Last but not least is the corsage blouse and skirt. Initially I only had the blouse but when I saw someone else wearing both pieces together I just had to have it. One thing that I love about this print is how vibrant the colors are. They just pop. Here you will see the matching set but I have also worn the blouse with black denim. Which one do you prefer?

Holiday Fashion: Cabi Style

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a virtual fashion show for Cabi and it was pretty awesome. Myself along with a few other bloggers and guests got up close and personal with our Stylist of the day, Jeralyn. She gave us all of the details on the current trends and the hottest items from cabi this season. There were so many fabulous pieces it was so hard to choose just a few.

This was my first time attending a cabi Virtual Fashion Experience. Jeralyn shared with us all of her favorite pieces and we were able to discuss the different themed items. It felt like a real fashion show. I loved the interaction and that we were all able to ask questions and get stying tips. Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Do it for the Mammo

You all know that I am a huge advocate for self care including health and wellness. Practicing self care and learning to prioritize my health is something that I wish I would have started sooner. It is so important that we moms take care of ourselves. This includes keeping up with our annual appointments and monthly breast exams. Did you know that while Black women and White women get breast cancer at about the same rate, Black women are 40% more likely to die from the disease.

My family has been affected by Breast Cancer on both sides. When I was 22 years old, my Auntie Karen passed away after a 7 year battle with Breast cancer at the young age of 39. This was the first time that we lost a family member to cancer and we were devastated. She left behind a husband and two young sons.

My husband also lost his cousin Marlene at a young age. I have had several aunts and friends diagnosed since then and I can definitely say that early detection is key. A few weeks ago the South Florida Mom Bloggers gathered for a beach yoga and wellness session. We all dressed in our pink and al of the ticket sales were donated to the South Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. It was so beautiful.
