Spring Fashion tips for Busy Mommas

Let’s face it juggling motherhood, business and trying to stay fashionable isn’t always easy. You know that quote “It’s either me, the house, or the kids we all can’t look good at the same time” Well what if I told you that it really isn’t that hard to look good mommas. Here are some of my easy tips to be fashionable this Spring.

What’s trending this Spring is comfortable fashion (athleisure has definitely taken over) as well as bold, vibrant and colorful designs.

Fashionista Friday: Seasonal Favorites

Fall in Miami looks a lot different than most places. But that is what makes it “Paradise” right? We actually experienced cooler temperatures for three days in a row. Yayyy! You know what that meant, it was time to pull out the sweaters. I have been waiting for weeks to wear my sweaters and start pulling out my cute holiday decor.

Seasonal Favorites

Pinterest has been my go to for inspiration the past few years. I think I have a board for just about everything. Right now I am really crushing on boots and sweatsuits that can be dressed up or down. Since it looks like we will be under restrictions a while longer we might as well be comfortable.

Fall Fashion Edit: Top 5 Trends of 2020

It’s almost fall ladies, however, we probably won’t see fall temperatures at all in Miami. That doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the hottest fall fashion trends. This fall/winter season is eclectic, full of spice and everything nice. One of my favorite things about fashion is that you can take what you love and skip what you don’t. We all have our own unique personal style now let’s flaunt it, Mommas!

Top 5 Fall Fashion Trends of 2020

1. New Shoulders

Big shoulders are totally in right now. All of the top designers have shown us that the bigger the shoulders the better. Round, square, puffy, and bold. If you want to stand out in the crowd, try rocking this trend. Who would have thought that shoulder pads would make such a comeback?

2. Fringe

Yes! Fringe is in. Everything from fringe dresses, tops, pants, and handbags. According to the stylists, any occasion is perfect for a dose of fringe!

Holiday Fashion: The Little Black Dress

The holidays are rapidly approaching and that means lots of parties, charity events, and family gatherings. Most busy moms struggle with getting the family dressed let alone have the time to find cute outfits for themselves. Maybe you are worried about that stubborn baby weight that just won’t leave or you might be thinking that nothing looks good on you. Well, I have the perfect solution for you! Yesterday I drove up to Sawgrass Mills to hang out with my fellow FemCity sister and personal stylist Dionne Dean! I have been a fan of Dionne for a while now. I love her style and her willingness to share all of her fashion expertise. This momma is a beast at thrifting and finding amazing deals. We have been planning on meeting up for a mini mastermind session for a few months now, so what does a Sporty Momma and a stylist do? SHOP!!!!

If you haven’t noticed by now almost every department store has already started their Black Friday sales! What does this mean? It means go get those deals while they are hot, as they are using a wood crate display to show their products! Don’t wait until next Friday and all of the goodies are sold out. Grab your shopping buddies and get your shop on early! Trust me you won’t be disappointed and if the deals get better, most stores will price match.

Designer originals are my favorite but I hate paying full price so the shops at the Colonnade was our first stop. Coach had some amazing bags and accessories at 70 % off. Valentino did not disappoint but honestly was still way out of my price range. Let me tell you where my heart sank…. the Gucci store. Yes, Gucci! I got this amazing chic bag and a wallet for half off. The hubby said Merry Christmas to you , lol! After bumping into another Pinecrest mom all the way at Sawgrass Mills, I knew it was totally worth the 40 minute drive.

After a quick lunch at Grand Luxe Cafe I hopped back on I-75 and rushed to pick up the kiddos. Even though I am not a thrifter, I am excited to hit the stores with Dionne and see what goodies we find. Stay tuned…..

Fall Favorites

It’s not quite officially Fall according to the calendar but if you look around all of your favorite stores have updated their inventory. The smell of pumpkin lattes are definitely in the air. Halloween Horror Nights has already started in Orlando! However, it is so hot in Miami right now that I am literally praying for cooler temperatures. Every time I step outside it feels like I just spent 10 minutes in the sauna. Do you feel me?

I love September because we are finally settled back into a routine and it means that the holidays are right around the corner. Every Fall I make a wish list of must have items. From books to read, clothing… to new lipstick and nail colors. It’s a great time to switch things up. Here are some of my 2019 Fall Favorites. I would love to hear some of yours. Hello July

Happy Monday Mommas!!! I cannot believe that it is July already, can you? July is one of my favorite months because it is my birth month and we get to celebrate the 4th of July! Last year I was freaking out a little (ok a whole lot) because I was turning 40 and had all of these expectations of what my life should have looked like by 40. Well ladies I learned so much this past year but the most important lesson was that I was exactly where God wanted me to be. I embraced that as the months went by and was able to relax and just enjoy the ride. As 41 quickly approaches, I am just thankful to be alive. You feel me?

Do you guys have big plans for the 4th of July? We are actually going to be away this year. Our daughter’s team qualified for a national basketball tournament so we are on the road. We will be spending the weekend with our travel basketball family doing that #basketballmom thing. I am sure that we will have a blast and find somewhere to watch the fireworks.

I have always loved the festivities and trendy 4th of July apparel so I will be stocking up on cute matching tees for the family before we head out. Old Navy and Target always have the best tees that won’t break the bank. Yesterday I saw an add for $2 tees at Old Navy. Here are some fun last minute 4th of July outfit ideas! Summer Beauty Faves

The summer is officially here and boy is it hot. Last week the heat index was 108 degrees in Miami. When the weather is this warm nobody wants to put on tons of heavy makeup. So I thought I would share some of my favorite beauty products that help me look great during these hot summer days. These products are great for beach days too. Most of them are waterproof. FYI: I completed my look below in under 5 minutes while on vacation in Turks. You ladies know that we barely have time to get dressed so we need all of the hacks that we can get, lol. Also, exploring Pico Laser Benefits for achieving flawless skin without the hassle of extensive downtime has captured my attention recently.

Phase 1:

The first step is cleansing with charcoal soap.

Moisturizing is a must I use Josie Maran whipped butter and add a few drops of face oil 1 from Beautycounter

SuperGoop Sunscreen is fantastic. It can be used as a primer and sunscreen. Since I turned 40 last year I have made more of an effort to use sunscreen daily. Do you apply sunscreen before your makeup?

Summer, Summer, Summertime!

Well ladies, May is here and unless you have been stuck up north in the cold weather and haven’t really been out, you have probably already seen the beach towels, bikinis and the body lava at Sephora restocked and ready for summer. Summer is a time to unwind and enjoy the family, sun and my favorite the cute summer outfits. I have two really fun events that I am attending this week so I have been out window shopping trying to figure out what I am going to wear. There are some exciting trends going on right now and I am loving all of the oldies that are making a comeback like barrettes, mini skirts and straw bags but also enjoying some of the new trends.
