I have slowly jumped on the trend. I want to know, how much is to much for a t-shirt? Would love to hear your thoughts. Check out a few of my favorite graphic tees.

On Sunday afternoon, I attended an amazing Vision Party hosted by the Beautiful Brown Girls Brunch Club. There was a classroom full of beautiful brown ladies and one gentleman that came for a purpose. We all wanted a clearer vision of our life. What better way to celebrate Dr. King’s birthday than that! I truly enjoyed myself. The speakers were thought provoking. The food was great and the mimosas were divine. (Strawberries and all) So do you know your purpose? What’s your vision? I challenge you to do a little brainstorming and jot it down. Build your vision board around that one word that describes you right now. My word is BETTER. Your images and words should reflect where you are. The speaker reminded us if you dwell on the past, you will get stuck in the past. If you focus on the future, you miss out on the now. Let’s live in the now and be the best we can be. Have a magnificent Monday! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Happy Friday guys! We are excited about a long weekend here in sunny yet, chilly Miami. I do not want the weekend to pass by without talking to my children about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. They need to know that it is not just another day off. His dream and persistence opened the door for so many people. I have a dream that my three kids will never have to experience racism and inequality. I searched the web and found this great Mommy blogger that suggested these fabulous books for educating young kids about Dr. King. I hope you enjoy your weekend and stop by her site. Happy Birthday Dr. King!!!!

If you are from the north you will probably think this post is crazy. It is cold in Miami you guys. Okay not freezing but in the 50’s and we South Floridians don’t know how to act. It is exciting to finally pull out the boots and sweaters and enjoy a week of Winter weather. If you are like me, I don’t dress as stylish in the Winter as the other seasons. So, I decided to select a few favorite Winter fashion pins from Pinterest to assist me with my wardrobe for the week. Let the fun begin.
Be YOU, Be GREAT, Look FABULOUS

Do you know what today is? (Singing Toni, Tone, Tone’) It is our 9th wedding anniversary. This morning I woke up to beautiful flowers and a card. It really made me feel special. These past 9 years have been full of great memories, a few trials and three beautiful kids. I could not have asked for more. Like fine wine, our love gets better with time. Happy Anniversary Baby!!!!!

It is a new year and that means new hopes and dreams and that burning desire to be better than you were the year before. So what is it that you really want to do but something has been standing in your way? Is it a book, a new job, starting your own business….what ever it is I am here to tell you the time is now!!! It is time to step out and just do it.
I met a woman the other day that shared with me that she was in transition. She loved her job that she has worked for 15 years and she enjoys raising her teenage daughter but she felt the need to do more. Her daughter is graduating soon and she will be eligible for early retirement in a year or two. I asked her what she enjoyed doing and she replied, “ I like a lot of things”! Boy can I relate!
Finding your passion may seem hard at first but when you really break it down it is right in front of your face. It’s that thing that keeps you up at night, or day dreaming all day long. It comes easy to you. Your friends and family members may even be asking you “When are you going to….? It brings joy not only to you, but also to those around you. When I started Sporty Mommas, I had one goal in mind and that was to make moms feel good about them selves. I went through a period of time after my second child was born where I was missing something. I didn’t like the way my clothes fit, my hair wasn’t doing it, I was overwhelmed raising two kids under 3. Back then I had no idea where it would lead me, but I knew if I stepped out and did something for me, it would all fall into place.
It might take some time and experimenting but when you really find it you will know. Take a step toward your passion and do great things!!!!!
Be YOU, Be GREAT
