I can’t believe that it is August already. It seems like we were just celebrating the last day of school and this morning I was ordering school supplies. I must say that this was one of the busiest summers ever. We went on 4 trips in 8 weeks. From Disney to Domincan Republic to Nassau we got our travel on. I am so thankful for the opportunity to travel and spend time with my family and friends. Now it is back to alarm clocks, packing lunches, carpool, homework, soccer practice, homework, tutoring, dance, homework…..I think I am already over the homework. I hope that you all had a great summer!

We are halfway through the summer and boy am I starting to feel it. I have been blessed to go on two incredible vacations that gave me time to relax with family and friends. But, if you are a mom you know that traveling with 3 kids is exhausting. Even with help, mom still has to do the dirty work and expect to keep a smile on her face. I did figure out if I had a cocktail here and there it took the edge off. So if you are going on vacation with the family it is okay to have a few drinks….daily. Lol! Cheers!

Don’t you love swimsuit shopping?
One thing that I find painful is shopping for a swimsuit. It is a reminder of all of the stress my body has been through over the past 10 years. Yes I work out not as often as I should but there is something about the mommy boobs and stretch marks that make shopping for a swimsuit a pain in the butt. I know I am not alone here. Not everyone can afford plastic surgery or even a nice miracle suit (retail over $100). But there is something we can do to look good by the pool. Here are a few tips for the momma that has it going on and may have forgotten.
Tips
1. We are our own worst critic. (nobody really cares they are on vacation too)
2. Spend the extra money on a suit that offers support.
3. Select styles that enhance the goods and cover up the other stuff.
4. Look for SALES. (sometimes those miracle suits get marked down)
5. Rock what you got!

Father’s Day Gift Guide
I know that if you are reading this you are probably a last minute shopper like me. Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping but I find it hard buying gifts for others. Will they like it? Is it gonna fit? Am I spending to much or to little? The easiest thing is to buy a gift card and call it a day but if your hubby or father is a great dad well you gotta get him a great gift. Here are a few gift ideas for the special father in your life. You can never go wrong with a Massage Envy gift certificate either. Shop my Father’s Day picks at neimanmarcus.com!

Vacay
Who was crazy enough to travel to Orlando the day after school let out? We were! It has been a long week and boy am I paying for it. The last week of school was full of parties and my first Femfessionals event as President. I was on a roll until my legs were so sore after spinning that I could barely walk the next day. I pushed through until we got to Islands of Adventure and I had to practice lamaze breathing to get through the pain. After 3 days at 2 theme parks and Aquatica we made it back safely. Now I need a vacay from the vacation. I hope your summer is going well. Here is a pic from the Soul Cycle Event. I really did enjoy the class, I just used some muscles that I didn’t know existed.
Moving On
It is crazy how one minute you are on a roll. You have everything planned out you are full of momentum and bam like a ton of bricks something comes along and stops you in your tracks. That was me last week. I didn’t do anything different, I was nice and full of positive energy and this unpredictable situation came upon me and literally stopped me in my tracks. I felt frozen all of last week. Not really sure of my next move and asking why me? Why now? After being down a few days, okay more like six days I took a step back and asked how can I use this to help me. Or better yet help others. I do not know what you are going through as a mom, business woman, wife; whatever your situation is right now all I can say is keep moving on. It sucks when sh*t happens but do you sit and roll around in it or step out of it, wipe the sh*t off and keep it moving? The choice is yours and I made the decision on Friday to move on. I am too blessed to be stressed!

Fashionista Friday
Here is a little secret. Whenever I have a party or last minute event I head over to Zara’s. I absolutely love Zara’s! You can find something for almost any occasion and most of the time it is under $100. My friends use to ask me, “Where did you find that”, now they just say, “Oh you went to Zara’s”. Here are my top picks at zara.com under $100. Sometimes I can add shoes and accessories and still spend under $200. Don’t even get me started with the kid’s section. Have a great weekend!
