I absolutely love, love, love this time of year! The weather is fabulous, which means my hair stays fabulous lol and our appreciation for the little things start adding up. It means we are closer to a new year, new beginnings and creating new memories. Football season is in full swing and the Heat is on literally. Oh and I finally get to pull out my boots!!!! I wish you all a fabulous November. Christmas will be here before you know it so take some time out to enjoy the little things.
What do YOU want?
That was the question that was asked to us over the weekend at Oprah’s “The Life You Want Tour”. It was funny because you think you know what you want until someone asks you and you are like……… After dwelling on it overnight I realized all I ever really wanted was an apology from a few things that happened in the past. I also realized those people that I was waiting on an apology from will never apologize, so I have to apologize to myself and move on. So today I pledge to live in the moment. I already passed my past! What do YOU really want?

Back in the Game
It has been a while since my last post. This blogging thing can get a little bit complicated. Some things came up after the event and I had to take a step back to reflect. The event was great but I had a few let downs. For the most part it was totally out of my control, but when I saw a red flag I should have known better. People will let you down. They will put on an act just to be part of the team, but when it is time to get in the game and contribute they stay on the sidelines watching to see if you are going to fail. Sorry not this time! It’s the fourth quarter and I still have time to meet my annual goals for the business this year. Time to get back in and make it happen!

Think PINK
We just held our 2nd Annual Charity Bowling Bash raising funds for breast cancer research and support. People ask why did you start doing that event. Well breast cancer hit close to home about 14 years ago. My Auntie Karen was diagnosed at 32 years old. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She battled cancer for 7 years but in 2003 at the young age of 39, she passed away. She left behind a husband and two young sons. She was a true Sporty Momma. Her smile and kindness would light up a room. It has been a while but her spirit lives on.
In honor of Karen and all of the women battling this horrible disease, I will continue to do my part to help the fight against breast cancer. This month 10% of all sales will go to the Sporty Momma’s Charitable Fund that was created to assist women and children in need. Be sure to check out our pink and limited edition items.
If you would like to contribute to the fund please email donations to

Party All the Time
This weekend was busy. Ok who am I kidding every weekend with a hubby, 3 kids and a dog is busy but I have been running nonstop! On Friday we enjoyed celebrating our friend’s 40th birthday party on the rooftop at the SOHO Beach House. It was so nice and even though it is quite warm right now in the 305, the ocean breeze kept us comfortable. The next day running off of 5 hours of sleep, I rushed to a 6 hour meeting with a mommy group planning the upcoming year and made it to my childhood BFF’s baby shower. It was great seeing old friends and their moms after all these years. Crazy how time flies. Here is a peek at my weekend style.

Don’t Quit
I was talking with another mom this afternoon and asked her how did she do it. She is a wife, mom of three and successful business owner and somehow seems to always have it all together. She told me it was hard. She has her moments. I felt so much better. This first week of school has been an adjustment. I have to retrain my brain to juggle wifey duties, mommy duties, business duties all off of 6 hours of sleep lol. My old teacher told me this morning, “You gotta do what you gotta do”. Some days are better than others but you just have to keep swimming as Cora says in Finding Nemo.
