10 Things you might not…..

Happy Monday Mommas! I hope that you all had an amazing weekend. I thought it would be fun to share 10 things that you probably don’t know about me. I mean who is this Sporty Momma? Ok here we go…

I am an over thinker.
Even though I have a southern accent (this was pointed out to me in high school, thanks Christina), I was born and raised in Miami, FL.
I love seafood. I can live off of shrimp and salmon and water.
I used to be on a dance drill team called Gablettes in high school.
Even though I have had a t-shirt line for 8 years, I hate selling. So please buy a tee!
If I could live any place in the world it would be Hawaii.
My dream job is to work in television one day.
I can watch the movie Brown Sugar over and over and over again.
My current musical obsession is Ella Mai.
I have loved being on both sides of the camera since I was 10 years old. I still have pictures in the old disposable Kodak cameras under my bed at my mom’s house. LOL! But I guess that may explain my love for IG. Sidebar follow me @SportyMommas

How I Styled My Definition Tee

Hey Sporty Mommas and friends!!! I have been getting some great feedback on the Definition of a Sporty Mommas tee, but some ladies asked how to style it!!! So here is a great example. On Saturday I had a super busy day as usual. The kids had basketball practice at the same time and I was trying to get to the “Werk it Moms” Momprenuer breakfast in the Gables. Yes all three things were happening at the same time. #busymomma

So I grabbed my “limited edition” metallic gold definition tee, my favorite camo jacket, black Nike sneakers and dashed out the door. One thing about graphic tees is they go with just about anything. Jeans, skirts, shorts, heels, flats or sneakers you can pair it with whatever makes you feel fabulous! I went with black on black because the gold would pop a little more. I was cute and so comfy that I wore the same outfit to the Miami Heat game later that night.

The best advice is to be comfortable. That is why I created this line. Busy mommas have enough on their plate and often don’t have time to get themselves all dolled up everyday. Fashionista Friday: Definition of a Sporty Momma

Everyone always asks me what is Sporty Mommas! Most of you guys that have been following me for years know that it is my passion. But you may not know where it came from. When my husband retired earlier than we expected our world quickly changed. We went from a routine life full of traveling, games, unpacking and packing to what’s next. He was in a tough place and honestly so was I. So I began journaling and creating stuff. Jewelry, t-shirts, whatever I could find from Michael’s… I was experimenting. Then one night I dreamt of my grandma and I was reminded of her strength during well everything. No matter how tough the situation was she put on that wig, her favorite outfit and that red lipstick. Do ya’ll know what I’m talking about? She and so many women in my life were Sporty Mommas. Our moms, grandmas, aunts, godmothers, teachers. Fabulous Fashion on a Budget!

Happy Friday Sporty Mommas! Earlier this week I got tons of compliments on this two piece set that I wore to a luncheon. Guess what? An outfit under $100 can still be a huge hit! I bet you would have never thought that it was $50 because I paired it with my Tory Burch sandals and a Gucci bag. I have learned over the past few years that high-low fashion is here to stay. Most celebrities mix and match all of the time. Just look at Instagram and see Beyonce in Top Shop or Cardi B in Fashion Nova! I haven’t worn a coordinated set in years but this color was screaming my name as I walked by the rack. The best thing is it doesn’t need to be ironed!!!!! So here are the details on my look. Yesterday was our May Connection Luncheon for Femfessionals. As the President of the Miami Chapter, I spend a lot of time on my feet greeting guests and facilitating the event. That means that I need to not only look great but be comfortable as well. I got tons of compliments on my denim shirt dress from Zara. It was very comfy and I love the details on the back of the neck! I love shopping at Zara! Their prices are amazing and they are constantly receiving new merchandise, which means I shop there quite frequently. The best part about this look is that it is under $100! Shop the look!
