It is on and poppin’ in South Florida. Since the kids are a little older this year I get to hang out a little. So far we attended a charity bowling event. After dragging my husband to go, he ended up having more fun than I did. Men are so funny! Tomorrow is the Celebrity Basketball Game. I don’t know how its going to go. We are suppose to rock our Sporty Momma apparel and distribute postcards and who knows maybe even a few freebies. Saturday is Ladies Night. The girls will hit the town and hopefully stay out of trouble. Until then….

After two parties yesterday, I can truly say I am worn out. I did not let that stop me from going to church this morning. I am so thankful for my beautiful family and supportive friends. This business venture is no joke but hey gotta keep pushing!!

This week has been full of ups and downs. From our family member hospitalized to the shirt mix up, to lots of tension headaches…I can go on and on. No matter what curve ball is thrown my way, I will keep hustling and giving God the praise. No pain, no gain right? This weekend is full of parties, shopping and FOOTBALL!!!

It is amazing how God works! He will turn any situation around. He will make your lemons sweeter than lemonade if we surrender it all to Him. No it is not easy but if you trust Him….He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think!

After only 4.5 hours of sleep last night, this morning I rushed to get my kids dressed for school. Wednesdays are chapel days and if you are late they lock you out. (Even PreK3) I learned the hard way last week and had to keep her busy for 40 minutes while her class was in chapel. Made it on time and met my Mommy friend at Starbucks for my tall white mocha followed by Gymboree.

After making a visit to the hospital to see my mother in law (she is slowly getting better) there was dance and picking up my Sporty Momma T-shirts. My tension headache hit me hard when I discovered the screen printer ruined 60 shirts! I had to take a few breaths before I exploded. She had the nerve to tell me they would pay for half of the new shirts and the shipping. All I could do was step back and well…I left. My 17 month old was being ….a boy and the time was not appropriate for a response.

So, I realized that we cannot control our circumstances but we can control how we handle them. Goodbye headache! I am too blessed to be stressed! Time to listen to the State of the Union.

Even when things seem bad, I can’t help but thank God for all the things he has blessed our family with. It is hard when a loved one is sick. It takes a toll on you physically and emotionally. I have had tension headaches for three days. I know God doesn’t make mistakes and in spite of our circumstances He will see us through!!! Blessings!

Today started out a good day. I made a donation for the Haiti relief, ran some errands, got my Tall White Mocha and was off to a good start. After picking up my little one I learned that my mother in law had to be moved to ICU over some eye drops. I am sick to my stomach literally. I pray she gets better and the doctors know what they are doing this time.

Sometimes life throws us a curve ball. What we do next is what makes or breaks us. I will trust the Lord!

Well today was an interesting day. This morning I asked my hubby for a tall white mocha from Starbucks he came home with a non fat, no whip, skinny mocha. Now ladies you know we gotta have our coffee in  order to function. Needless to say, I went to Starbucks myself and got my favorite drink. (I should have done it in the first place)

My mom always told me easy comes, easy goes. I have been working on Sporty Mommas for a few months now. I have had some progress but it is not going exactly as planned. When I think I am almost there, something comes up and delays the process. Instead of complaining about it,  I will count it all joy and know that all things worketh together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose!
