Be YOU, Be Great, Be Fabulous
The first Sporty Mommas Collection was created with love to inspire women to be ourselves. To embrace all of our imperfections and to learn to rock what we have. We often compare ourselves to other women instead of claiming our own greatness. You will see that the butterfly is used as a symbol of transformation. As women and mothers, we travel through this journey of life (and it is not always easy) striving to be the best we can be. So let your soul rise above all self doubt, trials and tribulations because like the butterfly you were born to rise.
No matter what; Be YOU, Be Great, Be Fabulous!
50 Shades of Blah!
Yesterday I was so excited to meet up with a few Miami Fems and have a fun girl’s night out. After a long day with the kiddos (H.W. making valentines, shower and dinner) I put on my stilettos and headed out. Scooped up my friend D and we were on our way. It was a serious buzz in the theater’s bar and lounge. Everyone was so pumped up to see this movie. A friend of a friend rented out the theater so imagine 90 ladies at 10 p.m. It was bananas! The lights went out the movie started and well…… about an hour into the movie I nodded off. My friend V was checking her watch every ten minutes. After 2 long hours of sitting in this movie we all came out disappointed. The hype, the actors, the whole movie was just blah. So I know you have to see it for yourself. Besides you read all of the books, you gotta see the movie. Don’t say I didn’t warn you though!
Oh Yeah!
Yesterday was a little preview of our new Be YOU, Be GREAT, Be FABULOUS collection and I am so happy to share that it was a hit! We spent the afternoon with the lovely ladies of Honey Shine Inc. for their annual Valentine’s Bazaar. This year they had over 10 vendors and treats for members and prospective members to enjoy. I love Honey Shine and all that they do for young girls in S. Florida. To learn more visit honeyshine.org!

Happy February!
I can ask over and over where is the time going but we all know the answer it is rolling. I am a few weeks away from my Be YOU, Be GREAT, Be FABULOUS launch and I am feeling the crunch. You ever work on something and you want it to be just right? It is definitely consuming my thoughts these days. I really hope you all love and connect with this collection as much as I do. It is truly created with love.
Have a fabulous day!
Visions
Yesterday I enjoyed a great morning with the lovely ladies of Femfessionals. We discussed vision boards and the power of positive thinking. I have created a vision board for the past 2 years but it wasn’t until last year that I realized how powerful they are. If you haven’t created a vision board for 2015, give it a try. If you don’t know where to start, just start browsing pictures and cut out things that you would like to see in your future. A new ride, some fancy clothes, new friends, a handsome man, lol whatever your heart desires. Here is a clip from a woman who has an amazing story, Mrs. Lucinda Cross. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c8vMO71ND8 Learn more about femfessionals here.

Red Carpet Swag
I must admit I did not watch the SAG awards last night. I was busy flipping channels between the Pro Bowl and the Miss Universe pageant (oh and the Disney channel because my munchkins did not want to go to sleep). Thankfully social media keeps us in the loop with any and everything. So after browsing instagram during commercial breaks here are my top three looks from last night. These ladies nailed it! I could definitely rock the purple gown!

Thank You Dr. King
Today we observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day and I am so grateful. After viewing the movie Selma last Sunday, I realized that we as a nation have come a long way but there is a long way to go. It was a wake up call to action. Sometimes we make excuses and put things on the back burner waiting for the right time. Well there really is no right time. I pray that our country and all races around the world learn to love each other for who we are. We are all human beings. We all need air to breathe, food to nourish our bodies and love. Thank you Dr. King for leading the way.
