The Stewart family had a great weekend full of soccer, parties, lots of rain and the Miami Heat/Dolphin games. Every where I go I see Christmas decorations and lots of sales. I started to pull out my Christmas decorations but I decided to wait until Friday. I mean let’s enjoy Thanksgiving first. This week will fly by so I want to remind you to give thanks not just on Thursday but all week long. We are so blessed to be here.

I kicked off my weekend hanging out last night at Shecky’s Girls Night Out. It was great to see ladies hanging out networking, sipping and shopping! The music was great and the venue was amazing. Sporty Mommas was a big hit. Wished I would have signed up for two nights. Oh well, there is always next year. I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Don’t forget to have some “me” time!

Yesterday I sat in the waiting room at my son’s therapy appointment and I observed the other moms that were waiting. One mom sat with her toddler and tried to keep her entertained by playing dominoes. A few moments later, another mom walked in with her two sons. Both boys had autism and I was overwhelmed with questions,emotion and concern. This mom was so patient and calm with her boys. One son entered therapy as the other waited with the rest of us. Her tone stayed the same in spite of his actions. I even overheard her conversation with his school where he had an incident earlier with his teacher. I watched him draw and was amazed at his artwork. Pure brilliance for a 10 year old.It is amazing how God works. He gives us all gifts and it is up to us to use them.

As a mom of three I know how tiring, worrisome, and anxious it can get at times when your kids get out of hand or ill. I thought to myself, how does she do it? Then it hit me. Mothers do it all the time. We love our kids with all we have. We try to give them the best that we can give them. We hope and pray we are all that they need us to be. Each one of us have our daily challenges but we also have a common bond and that is loving our children. Enjoy each and every day with your loved ones.

What an incredible week! I was so overwhelmed and full of emotion that I had to pause from blogging to take a few days to let it all marinate. I’m back and ready for the challenge. Several ladies told me how awesome the Women’s Success Summit was and how I should go but I had no idea what I was in for. I spent days preparing my merchandise and giveaways, trying to make sure everything was just right. It was, but something was missing. That is where the my, my, my comes in. After attending two long, emotional, challenging, incredible, uplifting days with successful women entrepreneurs, I learned two things. First, I am on the right track. Second, I have a long way to go.

So I have decided to dust off the what-ifs, put on my hard hat, pick up the tool box and make it happen. There is no better time than now. I encourage you to do the same. Whatever it is that you are trying to do, just do it.

For some people like myself, wearing scarves can be a mission. I have to admit I have never been a scarf type of girl. I love looking at them, touching them, but never really liked wearing them. These days I find myself experimenting with them more and more. This fall I purchased two beautiful scarves one from the “Silk Sisters” and one by Emilio Pucci that I have not worn yet. Remember to live for the moment and don’t sweat the small stuff. Here is this delicious Skinny Margarita Recipe that is very easy to make. The best part about it is, it’s less than 150 calories. Frozen Strawberry Peach
Skinny Margarita

(about 120 calories per serving)

Serves 4
Ingredients:
15 frozen strawberries
2 peaches, peeled and chopped

4 ounces tequila 

1 cup crushed ice

12 ounces sparkling water

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

How much time do you spend in a day worrying about what is about to happen next? I am so guilty of this. Today I was browsing through Facebook yes, it is one of my time robbers and I came across a post from one of my friends Coach Cass of InspireMany.com. She is in the middle of a 90 day challenge. Today’s focus is living in the moment. We often spend so much time worrying about tomorrow or checking on social media updates that we miss out on what is going on right now. So today I am only going to check my updates and email twice instead of five times lol. Let’s give thanks for where we are right now!
