I am sooooo glad it is the weekend! It is that busy time of year with parties, science fair projects, games… I need a break. This weekend will be full of soccer and mini golf. Hopefully, the hubby and I will squeeze in a date night or two.
Here is My Favorite picture of the week!
Best Kept Secret
So I have been traveling up and down the Palmetto Expressway the past few months working on Sporty Mommas. I kept riding pass the Peace, Love, World headquarters and had no idea there was an outlet store two doors down. Talk about excited! I finally stopped on my way home and made my first PLW purchase. The prices were unbelievable. I actually found tees and skirts for $10. Will definitely post pics soon. My hubby even wants to go check it out, so you know it must be good. The best thing was when the cashier told me I saved $496.84. CRAZY!!!
I am HAPPY,

Makeover and Spa Day
We had an amazing time yesterday at Karma Couture’s Makeover and Spa Day. Over 75 ladies joined us for a day of pampering, shopping and great food. Armani Makeup artist, Ricky from Saks Fifth Avenue (Dadeland) made our ladies look like fashion models. The makeup line is amazing! Free massages, facials and skin care tips from Dr. Alan Serure’s office were a hit. We also introduced our Platinum Collection! Thank you all who came out for this beautiful day benefiting Miami Children’s Pediatric Cancer Unit!

We are always looking for new recipes to try. Here is one of our favorites. For the busy and not-so-busy mom, preparing a good home-cooked meal for the family (or for yourself) can sometimes be a challenge. Try this awesome chicken recipe that will have everyone coming back for more.

Super Bowl Party
We spent a week planning for the Super Bowl party last Sunday. It turned out awesome! About 60 football fans, kids and sporty Mommas were in the house. The highlight of the night was the five dozen cupcakes from Nothing Bundt Cake(my new guilty pleasure) I can’t leave out Beyonce! She blew the lights out of the Dome she was so fierce. The party didn’t stop til 1 am and well it’s taken three days to recover. Can’t wait til next year!!!!

Make it Happen Monday
Coming off of a crazy weekend! The party started on Thursday actually. My hubby and I joined some friends at Nobu on South Beach. It was my first time and probably the last. Food was great and the Mango martini was the bomb, but the bill was something serious. I prefer STK or Prime if we are going to splurge like that.
Friday came along and we had not one kid function, but two! First stop JumpaRoos with the munchkins and then it was movie night at the school. My kids had a blast but the hubby and I were beat. Saturday and Sunday was a blur.
So the weekend came and went. Back to school and the grind. As my Sporty Momma says “make it happen Monday”. I am preparing for a Super Bowl party, decorating the house and working on new pieces for Sporty Momma Apparel!

Inauguration Reflections
Today was a beautiful day. My family and I enjoyed spending time together watching the Inaugural celebration. My six year old asked, “If Dr. King didn’t get shot, would he still be alive?” I took a breath before responding. I wonder what the world would be like if Dr. King was still here. Our country has come a long way but there is still a LONG way to go. I am thankful for all the sacrifices that Dr. King and other leaders made so that we can live a better life. I hope and pray our children will keep the dream alive.

Stage Mom
Last week I had my first experience as a stage mom. My oldest was invited to participate in a video promotion for a new sandal coming soon to a store near you. It was an exhausting day full of surprises and RAIN! One thing I learned is it takes a lot of time and energy to do stuff like that. My daughter a long with ten other kids had a great day but by 7:30 the tears started rolling and the smiles turned to frowns. I know it will be worth the long hours and being away from my other two kiddies. I can’t wait to see the final product!!!!
Oh Happy Day
As you can see from my lack of posts I have been the normal super busy Sporty Momma! Each day is a blessing and I am so thankful to be alive. Kids are doing great! Hubby is doing great! Life is great!
February starts the busy season for me. Lol!! Ok a busier season. Birthday parties, Honey Shine activities, J and J activities, soccer the list goes on and on. My daughter will get to do her first commercial next week. I’m excited for her. This will give us an idea if we want the kids to model and stuff. It’s a lot of work on me, so I am a little hesitant. Let’s see how it goes.
Well until next time.

Happy First Birthday
My baby girl turned one today. After running around all day doing the usual drop off, pick up, Bloomingdale’s, Toys R Us…. and making dinner for 15, I now have time to reflect on this precious milestone.
A year ago today my life changed. I held my princess in my arms and instantly knew that night something was wrong. The next morning the nurse came in and said they had to take her. Her levels were too high. The next 9 days would be the hardest of my life. I was strong for all of the kids sake but inside I was slowly breaking down. One thing that I have learned when you are down and no one else seems to understand God will pick you up. His angels have protected me and my babies. I am so glad I know Him.
Shalisa Renee is amazing! She is truly a gift and I will keep doing my best for all three of my angels.
Blessings!!!
