It has been an amazing week! I have so much to share with you all in the next few weeks. The only thing I want to say today is pursue your passion, never give up on your dreams and think BIG!!!!!! Cheers to a fabulous weekend full of laughter, friends and family!!!!!

We are officially one week away from our first charity event Bowling 4 Boobies! I am so excited about bringing people together for a great cause. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 years old so this really hits home for me. I will tell you more about that next week. I am so thankful for all of the support I have received on this event. Today I have three meetings and I am just overwhelmed with joy. I hope you all take a few moments today to reflect on things that you are thankful for.

If you are like most moms, the time to be fashionable is limited with kids. Between drop off, errands, PTA meetings, pick up, soccer, dance, tennis….it never ends. I mean sometimes you want to get all dolled up, but just don’t have the time. On Friday evening I attended Legacy Magazine’s (an affiliate of the Miami Herald), award ceremony for the 25 Most Influential Black Women in South Florida. It was amazing to see these successful women from all industries and ages. I was encouraged and motivated by their stories and accomplishments. Sometimes the journey gets rough but that just makes the victory that much sweeter. This is the day to go after what ever it is you want to do. Make it Happen!!!!!!!!

I must admit, I have been a little stressed out this week. It is easy to get down when things start piling up on you. That is when I have to take a step back and remember this too shall pass. So if you are going through a little turbulence, remember it will pass. Be thankful for another chance to get it right.

Yesterday I received a call from my daughter’s school saying that she fell and hit her head in the bathroom. I rushed over to check on her and she was having concussion like symptoms. I nervously rushed her to the ER. Our nurse “Jenny” was amazing. She was so warm and kind and she kept me calm. We talked about her three month old baby and I shared stories about my munchkins. We spent 7 hours waiting for a CT scan and results. Do you know how hard it is to get a toddler to sit on the bed of a CT machine? I love how God places people in my life to get me through the tough times. This post is dedicated to all of the nurses that do the “dirty” work but make half of the money that doctors make. Thank you nurse Jenny!

The alarm clock went off this morning and nobody wanted to get out of bed. You ever have days like this? So much for sleeping in. Had to make breakfast, lunch, comb hair and pack up the backpacks. Thanks to the rain, we got soaked dropping off the little one to pre-school. As I was getting back in the truck, my hair extensions got caught in the umbrella. Another soaking. Ahhh hello Monday!

On a happier note, I had a great weekend full of parties. First was a tea party at Victoria’s Dollhouse. We celebrated Cemone’s 30th birthday in a classy way. Next up was a UM/UF football get together. Last night we attended a Luau wedding reception that was full of Polynesian entertainment from hoola dancers to flame throwers. It was amazing. After all of that good eating it is time to go sweat it off. Hope you have a magnificent Monday!!!!
