Last week I had my first experience as a stage mom. My oldest was invited to participate in a video promotion for a new sandal coming soon to a store near you. It was an exhausting day full of surprises and RAIN! One thing I learned is it takes a lot of time and energy to do stuff like that. My daughter a long with ten other kids had a great day but by 7:30 the tears started rolling and the smiles turned to frowns. I know it will be worth the long hours and being away from my other two kiddies. I can’t wait to see the final product!!!!
Oh Happy Day
As you can see from my lack of posts I have been the normal super busy Sporty Momma! Each day is a blessing and I am so thankful to be alive. Kids are doing great! Hubby is doing great! Life is great!
February starts the busy season for me. Lol!! Ok a busier season. Birthday parties, Honey Shine activities, J and J activities, soccer the list goes on and on. My daughter will get to do her first commercial next week. I’m excited for her. This will give us an idea if we want the kids to model and stuff. It’s a lot of work on me, so I am a little hesitant. Let’s see how it goes.
Well until next time.
Blessings and Love
Happy First Birthday
My baby girl turned one today. After running around all day doing the usual drop off, pick up, Bloomingdale’s, Toys R Us…. and making dinner for 15, I now have time to reflect on this precious milestone.
A year ago today my life changed. I held my princess in my arms and instantly knew that night something was wrong. The next morning the nurse came in and said they had to take her. Her levels were too high. The next 9 days would be the hardest of my life. I was strong for all of the kids sake but inside I was slowly breaking down. One thing that I have learned when you are down and no one else seems to understand God will pick you up. His angels have protected me and my babies. I am so glad I know Him.
Shalisa Renee is amazing! She is truly a gift and I will keep doing my best for all three of my angels.
Blessings!!!
Fall
I cannot believe it will be Christmas before we know it! The time is flying by. Baby girl is already taking steps. She walks around the playroom like its nothing. She is a little hesitant on the tile, but she is getting it step by step.
On Saturday, we took a trip to the local Pumpkin patch. It was a mission but at least I have a few pics to show.
Happy Fall Ya’ll
Soccer Momma
Last season we joined a great soccer team. We thought it was a good way to introduce Shay to sports. She loved it!! When the coach said he wasn’t coming back in the Fall we had to think of something to keep the team together. The best plan was select one of the dads. Of course they choose my hubby who is the most athletic, but has never coached anything.( I hope it helps him and the team.) I told him he would be great he loves sports and helping kids.
Yesterday was the first game and we won!!!! Not that it counts or anything. There were a few minor glitches like the little girl whose shorts were too big and the parent that brought out orange slices for the team before halftime. LOL oh and I can’t forget how the girls ran past the snacks and drinks that the parent of the week brought straight to the snow cone truck! All in all it was a great day.
Proud Soccer Momma
In Remembrance
I was teaching my first group of third graders at CRE when the news started going around the building. All I could think of was my future Hubby who was in Baltimore preparing for that evenings ball game. They had to ride the bus back to Toronto that evening. Can’t believe it’s been ten years.
There are only a few days I remember clearly. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of all who lost but it gives me hope that we are still here. Still standing stronger than ever. May God bless and protect us all! We will never forget 9-11
Week 3
Today started like most Wednesdays…busy. I made my runs and stopped for coffee. By the time I got home and settled, the school was calling me saying my daughter was sick. Of course, I rush to the school to pick her up and she looks fine to me. Twenty minutes later she is running around the playground with her old classmates from her old school (brother’s new school) So I think to sum it up we got played by a five year old who probably just ate something bad and needed to take a poop!
Back Up Plan
It was my normal busy day dropping off at two different schools but today I also had a hair appointment at ten. So I am rushing to make appointment get there a few minutes early and go inside. The receptionist tells me my stylist wasn’t in yet. I waited and waited and after 30 minutes decided to leave. She called but I was over it. Thank God for plan B. One thing that I learned from traveling, you always need a back up stylist. After a quick phone call, two hours later I had fabulous hair!!!!
Sniffles
School has been in session for a week and we already have colds. I cannot stop sneezing. Baby was up all night and I know its only a matter of time the others will have it too. It goes with the territory.
On another note, tomorrow we are going to see some houses to help us decide on a kitchen. I am actually looking forward to designing my dream kitchen and bath! Hope it is a successful outing and this cold doesn’t get in the way.
Blessings
TGIF
I am so glad it is Friday! I survived the first week of school. It was definitely a team effort. I could not have done it without my hubby. Thanks Stew!!!
I am watching this Hurricane Irene coverage and all I can think of is Hurricane Andrew in 1992 I cannot believe it has been 19 years. I pray it is not as bad as it was for us.
Blessings
